Local questions. Salem County voices.
Why Ask Salem County?
Our county has opinions, ideas and concerns—and few simple places to hear what others think about them.
Ask Salem County gives local questions a public place to develop. A clear question, understandable choices and visible results can help neighbors learn from each other.
A community pulse
Participation can surface issues, test interest in an idea, bring visibility to overlooked topics and start useful discussions. It is a community pulse: a way to learn what participating neighbors are thinking, not a scientific measurement of the whole county.
Not just politics
Questions can cover public services, recreation, transportation, economic development, facilities, events, everyday life and community priorities. Elections and public policy belong here when appropriate, but they are only part of county life.
Anyone may participate
Residents and non-residents are welcome. Results can be viewed for Residents, Non-Residents or Everyone; the default view shows self-reported Salem County residents. Residency is self-reported and identity is not independently verified.
Questions and results in the open
Each published poll shows its question, choices, participant totals, current results and closing date. Closed polls are archived with final results and remain available unless an administrator removes them.
What this site is not
Ask Salem County is not a Salem County government or municipal website, a scientific polling organization or an election authority. Its polls are not official votes and do not replace public hearings, official surveys or professional research.
Voluntary responses reflect the people who take part, not necessarily the wider public. They should not be the sole basis for significant decisions.
One more way to take part
Ask a question, share your perspective and learn something about your neighbors. This is one more way to participate in county life.
